After publicly retiring from custom rifle manufacturing, world-class benchrest competitor Mike Bryant spent nearly four years out of the market. He came to Enter360 for a rebrand and a new website. He left with a documentary.

Why a film, not a brochure

A craftsman at this level does not need to be described. He needs to be seen at the bench. The strategy was to reintroduce Bryant to the market through a short bio-documentary, The Precision Riflesmith, that let the work and the man speak for themselves, with the website and the social launch built around it.

The launch

When the campaign went live on social, followers and phone calls arrived immediately. The website began generating inquiries daily, usually several a day. Then the film was picked up by Amazon Prime, and the brand’s authority moved to a different level.

The result

Revenue increased four times over, with a major increase in pricing made possible by the elevated brand and sustained demand. The film passed a million combined views across social, YouTube, and streaming. Qualified inquiries ran at two to three a day through the website in the weeks after launch, many of them some version of “I don’t care what it costs, build me a rifle,” and six months on the form was still bringing at least one a day. A multi-year waiting list was established within months, and the riflesmith could choose the work he took. For a small engagement, it is one of the clearest demonstrations of what the right story can do for a business.

"We needed a rebrand and a new website, but he convinced me to do a bio-documentary as part of the strategy. When the film was released on Amazon, things went to a whole new level. To say I'm happy with the work would be a huge understatement."
